News or promotion

There is no separate type field: a promotion is simply an entry with "Promotion runs until" filled in. While that field is empty, the entry behaves as ordinary news.

Pinning moves an entry to the top of the feed. The call-to-action button appears only when both its label and its link are filled in.

The "promotion ended" badge is computed by the website from the end date — nothing needs to be switched on here.
